There is something about this time of year that feels different. The air cools, the light softens, and the world quiets. It is not just the turning of the season. It is a gentle threshold. A time that asks us to slow down and listen.
I have always felt drawn to autumn, especially to this quiet space between October and November. Long before Halloween became candy and costumes, this time was marked by something older. Samhain.

Samhain (pronounced sah-win) was an ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest. It was seen as a powerful threshold. A time when the boundary between the living and the spirit world grew thin. People lit fires to guide spirits home, left offerings for their ancestors, and sat with the stillness of the changing world.
It was not about fear. It was about connection, reflection, and honoring the cycles of life. That is what I love most about it.
Even now, I think we need moments like that more than ever. We move fast. We fill our days and forget to breathe. But this season asks something quieter of us. It asks us to stop and notice.
Light a candle, pull a card, and ask yourself:
What am I ready to release?
What am I ready to carry forward?

Samhain does not need to be a grand ritual. It can be something small. Maybe it is sitting with your cards in the evening and listening without expectation. Or writing a few thoughts in your journal by candlelight. Or simply making space for a memory, a goodbye, or a quiet shift inside. It is not about doing it perfectly. It is about being present.
If you feel a little softer or more reflective right now, let that be your sign to pause. To listen. To create a moment of stillness before everything begins again.

And if you want something to mark this time, I have put together a Halloween shopping discount in the shop filled with things that bring warmth, reflection, and a little touch of magic into your space.
May this season bring you peace, clarity, and a feeling of being held by something gentle and timeless.
With love,
Esra
